A short history

 

S. Jennings Ltd. was founded by Septimus Jennings in Morpeth in 1911. Septimus started out by repairing and selling bicycles but soon realised that the new-fangled motor car was rapidly growing in popularity and so he set up one of the first main Ford dealers in the country. From these humble beginnings the S. Jennings Group grew and flourished to become the large multi-dealer franchise dealer group it is today. Although the motor car may have changed beyond all recognition since those early days, the high standards of customer service that Septimus Jennings set in place a century ago remain today.
